Soccer Fitness for Your Child and Teenager!
Tryint to maintain the healthiness of your children can always be a challenge. With the advancement of current technology, kids stop going outside to get exercise and prefer to stay in to play video games and what not. One of the ways I like to keep my children active is by actively having them engage in soccer activities such as games or practice.
The simple act of playing soccer week in and week out will bring about many different benefits to your children. One of the most obvious ones is physical exercise. Soccer is a phyisical and "run" heavy sport, meaning your child will build stamina as well as get physically stronger. Players are constantly running and sprinting from one end of the field to the other. There is very little stoppage in game play. Most soccer exercise done at soccer practice will teach your child many lifelong skills, such as team work, confidence, problem solving and since they are also doing exercise it’s a great way to maintain your physique. It is never too late to start playing soccer, if your child has already gained some weight, there is no need to worry you can enroll them at any time.
Another one of the benefits for playing in club soccer leagues is that your child gets to make new friends. If your child is joining a new team you can rest assured he will at least be friends with 10 new kids. Each team consists of 11 players allowing your child to break social barriers and become more sociable; this is something that video games cannot teach you. The social skills gained through face to face interaction are far more valuable than anything learned on a social network. Being able to interact socially will lead to better grades and better judgment of the type of people your friend chooses to be friends with.
You will also notice the development of better hand eye coordination when your child spends his time playing soccer in a team. Considered to be one of the more technical sports in the world, your child will spends hours at practice working on technique. This will lead to your child’s development of hard work and attitude, some of the most important lifelong skills anyone can learn. Youth soccer clubs are a great way for your kids to discover more about themselves as individuals and to learn how to function as a team, as well as learning how important it is to fulfill your responsibilities. These skills will pay dividends for a lifetime. If you do plan to enroll your child in soccer, make sure he/she fits in by purchasing some of soccer accessories or soccer equipment such as soccer footwear or even soccer jerseys for practice.
